It was Remembrance Week and the stage was set for a dedicated double performance of the brand new play "The Christmas Truce" by the Quantum Theatre group.

The theatre group performed to all of our Year 7, Year 8  and GCSE History students as well as our Primary years.

Both educational and entertaining, The Christmas Truce is A World War One play based on the extraordinary events leading up to the Christmas Truce of 1914. Using original sources and material from the time, the play interweaves songs, sketches, poetry and prose to commemorate this very special event. It was moving, informative and sometimes humorous.

Following each performance, the cast from Quantum Theatre kindly answered any questions our students had in regards to the play and their careers.

During their visit at Unity, both actors we're hugely impressed. They said: "We'd just like to say you are the best school we've ever performed at. It has been an absolute pleasure."

As an Academy, we are very proud to hear such positive feedback and would like to thank all at Quantum Theatre for making the day such a successful one.

In Unity We Succeed!
