Safeguarding in Sport

Many children enjoy participating in a wide variety of sports outside school.

Sport is a terrific way for young people to develop physical skills, team work and confidence. Thousands of people give up their time to coach and encourage youngsters but occasionally incidents may occur within sporting situations outside school.

Recent national reports have emphasised the absolute importance of effective policies and procedures in protecting children.

Please see below for links to sport-specific safeguarding information and resources which may be useful to parents.
