All students study science at Unity Academy, we aim to spark pupils’ curiosity about what they see around them every day. All students learn to develop the knowledge, understanding and skills required to help find explanations to their observations.
All students experiment and use modelling to investigate and evaluate possible explanations, they are encouraged to be both critical and creative.
All students learn to appreciate that scientific ideas and understanding contribute to changes in medicine, technology, industry, business and improve the quality of our lives. Students also learn to appreciate the impact that science can have on the environment, different societies and their own lives.
All new Phase 5 students at Unity Academy will be studying separate sciences.
