Students opting to take GCSE Drama can opt to act, direct, stage manage or design stage sets, costumes and make-up in a subject that covers theory as well as practical skill. Acting can be script-based or improvised depending on the strengths and preferences of the class.

Even if the student is not planning to follow a career on stage, drama develops confidence, self-esteem and useful public speaking skills for any future profession.

An extra-curricular drama club allows students in primary and lower secondary phases to participate in performances at different times of the year.
