In geography Years 7, 8 and 9 students study a wide variety of exciting topics covering all aspects of the geography curriculum. We study the ways in which our planet has been shaped and changed by both human and physical processes as well as the impacts these processes have on people and the environment. Students also get the opportunity to carry out a fieldwork investigation in Poulton which allows them to experience this essential aspect of geography.

Through year 10 and year 11 geography is studied as a GCSE option subject. We follow the AQA syllabus through which we study a wide range of topics from both human and physical geography. Again there are opportunities for fieldwork and also for issue evaluation.

In all lessons students are encouraged to be active learners: they are encouraged to ask questions and really think about the topic they are studying.
