Best Exam Results Ever
Beacon Hill class of 2010, produced the best GCSE results in the history of the school - a tremendous 61% of pupils achieved 5A*-C, improving on last year’s results by 16%. In addition over 30% of pupils achieved more than 9 A*-C grades, demonstrating a real depth of achievement.
Particular congratulations go to Catherine Henshall with 5A*, 5A and 1B grade and to Max Bailey with 5A*, 4As and 1B. Along with many other high performing pupils. These pupils worked conscientiously throughout their time at the school and richly deserve their success; the school is very proud of them.
Individual subjects also did fantastically well with 100% pass rates in ICT, Hairdressing, French and Sport, with History, Media Studies, Travel and Tourism, RE and Business Studies achieving pass rates over 80%.
The school’s fantastic progress is a result of the hard work of staff, pupils and the many parents whom we know have supported our talented class of 2010.
