Our Future, Our Choice
Year 9 students had the fabulous opportunity to attend an Options Event ‘Our Future, Our Choice’, which was held for the first time in Blackpool, at The Blackpool Pleasure Beach. The informative event was organised and funded centrally, by Blackpool’s Guidance Community and was especially timed to help students make important subject choices.
The convention was the perfect opportunity for students choosing their options to research different career areas or to discuss ideas, plans with informed staff. The event also enabled students to engage with employers and post 16/18 providers of education and training. In addition students were encouraged to consider the skills and qualifications they need to progress successfully into employment and post 16 education.
