Go Global Student Workshops
On Monday 11th July, Mrs Campbell and Mrs Easter took group of Year 10 students to attend interactive, enterprising workshops at St Wilfred’s High School and Technology College, Blackburn.

The workshops aimed to inspire students to begin their journey to becoming creative, innovative global entrepreneurs, who able to think big and action their own ideas on how to make a difference to the lives of others in communities around the world.
The day was led by Claire Young, runner up in the television series The Apprentice two years ago. Claire is now a successful business entrepreneur and public speaker.
Claire delivered inspiring activities that encouraged our students to:
- Explore how entrepreneurship applies to them
- Work collaboratively on activities using their imagination and creative skills
- Develop their potential as innovators, leaders and global entrepreneursÂ
- Discover skills and mind sets which build resilience and the ability to thrive on challenge
- Consider how to respond to Millennium Development Goals
- Pool their ideas for positive change in the world
- Contribute to the work of Room to Read through the Go global challenge

The Go global Challenge is a new SSAT and Room to Read campaign. Student teams across the country will go head to head to raise as much money for Room to Read by designing and running entrepreneurial projects. Our pupils have already started to generate ideas in preparation for their project!
