France 2011
We travelled to Normandy in Northern France on the coach and overnight ferry. We spent our first hours in Honfleur, a beautiful port where a lot of the pupils bought ice creams and drinks, using their French for the first time.

We spent two nights staying in a chateau where we tried frogs' legs and snails.

The students did team building games and a disco.

We visited the historical town of Bayeux, famous for the Bayeux Tapestry, its market and it is very near to the Normandy Landings beaches. We visited the American cemetery and saw the wall of remembrance and the white marble crosses.

We played and ate our picnic on the beach, nearby and saw monuments in remembrance of the soldiers who had fought there.
We then travelled to Paris where we visited the Eiffel Tower (we got the lift up to the very top), we went on the Bateau Mouche river cruise on the Seine and saw the famous sites; le Cathâdrale de Nôtre Dame, le Louvre, L'Arc de Triomphe et le Sacre Coeur. We stayed at our hotel that night and then finished our trip with a full day in Disneyland Paris.

The pupils were excellent and we were all very proud to be with them representing our school abroad.
