Beacon's Barmy Army
Around 80 pupils, from years 9, 10 and 11 took part in the Inter Schools Army Challenge Day. Pupils in teams spent a physically and mentally demanding day completing 9 Army tasks. Everyone had a fabulous time, scrambling under nets, firing paintball guns, diving through tunnels, retrieving canisters from the ‘minefield’ and scuttling around the assault course.
Pupils topped up on their team spirit, leadership skills and inter personal skills.
Although at the end of the week Baines High School won the overall event, one of Beacon’s teams was nominated, by the Sergeants, as Team of the Week. Well done team 4!
