Aiming Higher at Altcar
On the 5th October students from years 10 and 11 experienced Altcar Army Exhibition.
They had a fabulous time exploring the many static displays, facing the climbing walls and scrambling over the assault course. Students could also fly down the zip wire, duck and dive through the laser targets and box in the ring.
The day was filled with many physically and mentally demanding challenges. But the main focus of the day was careers information and guidance, but our students got so much more out of the day. As well as having fun, sliding around in the mud, skills such as teamwork, leadership, analysing, evaluating and problem solving were developed. Some of our students also made some important life/career decisions.
