ICT

Society these days is such that ICT is now an essential skill for all pupils. Some form of IT is found in almost all areas of the workplace and it is vital that our pupils leave school with a sound knowledge of various aspects of ICT. In key stage 3, pupils are taught the basics in all areas of Microsoft Office and in the use of the internet and e-mail as well as good practice regarding appropriate internet searching. They are also taught good organisational skills and file management within their own user space, and the basics of graphics are also covered. All of these are transferrable skills and increase the pupils experience and confidence in using any workstations within school and they will hopefully take these skills with them when they leave.
